Green City: New Parks in the Offing

Chandigarh is the city of greenery, and the only city in the country with nearly 39 percent of its geographical area under green cover.
The 'city beautiful' is also referred to as the 'city of gardens', will have many more theme-based gardens to further enhance its beauty.

A Japanese style garden in Sector 31 is coming up complete with towers, lanterns, tea house, pagoda huts, water features, meandering pathways, that are typical of the Japanese gardens. This is expected to be another major attraction for the tourists.
Garden of Palms, Garden of Conifers, Cactus Garden are some of the other theme gardens in the offing.
It is time that the Chandigarh Administration lets the world know about these beauty spots in the city to the world through more proactive communication campaigns to reach the travellers. 

Creativity Unleashed

The two day 'Celebrate Creativity' Workshop concluded at Chandigarh on Saturday evening. The artists had finished their work, and it was a delight to look at the marvellous pieces of art they had created in two days.

This is the first video of the Celebrate Creativity workshop that began today morning at Rotary House 107A, Sector 18A, Chandigarh.




Fifteen artists have reached the city to just pick up the brushes and colors and start putting creative strokes of their expressions within two days time.
Organised by well known city artist, Ms. Neenu Vij, the workshop concludes tomorrow.

Coffee Sipping Festival

Your city is indeed brimming with activities.  CITCO is organising a great weekend event, Coffee Sipping Festival, at Sukhna Lake on Saturday and Sunday. (28-29 July) 
They have lots of activities for the children including Painting competition, besides you can also participate in Design Your Coffee Cup Contest.  
And of course 5pm onwards enjoy the Live Band Performance, and sip your cuppa coffee amidst theme-based decoration. 
How about Donating Your Signature Coffee Cup for the Underprivileged Kids.
